Bundled fonts

Both fonts are embedded in the forge binary (include_bytes! in crates/forge-web/src/pages/assets.rs) and served from /assets/fonts/. Both are licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 (OFL-1.1); the license text ships alongside each font.

Total of the six .woff2 files: 234092 bytes (about 229 KiB). The two license texts add 8954 bytes.

Notes

• Figtree (Copyright 2022 The Figtree Project Authors). Obtained from the @fontsource-variable/figtree package, which repackages the upstream Figtree variable font (weights 300-900) as woff2 per Unicode subset. The latin and latin-ext files are used; the unicode-range values in style/main.scss are copied from the package's wght.css. No Reserved Font Name is declared in the license.
• IBM Plex Mono (Copyright 2017 IBM Corp., Reserved Font Name "Plex"). The files are IBM's own unmodified woff2 files from @ibm/plex-mono, not re-subset or re-encoded, so the Reserved Font Name is not affected.
• Each woff2 was checked to start with the wOF2 magic bytes.
• The version is part of each file name, so the Cache-Control: immutable header on the font routes is safe. Upgrading means adding new files and new routes, not overwriting these.
